"I also want to thank you for posting the grand picture of Dr. Anderson with
his cat. It reminded me of a wonderful moment that came about when I was
walking with Dr. Anderson to his office after a class. He seemed somewhat
vexed and I politely asked him what the problem might be. He said that he was
frustrated because there was, 'no way he could telephone his cat.' Perhaps by
way of my not being able to completely hide the surprise on my face at this
remark he went on to explain that his cat had taken a liking to spending time
in one of the windows of his apartment and that the local birds had realized
that because of the screen they could torment the cat to their utter delight
with no chance of reprisal. 'It would nice to be able to check and make sure that the cat was all right.'" --- Bill Lee
